Frequently Asked Questions
Choosing a contact supervision service can raise many questions. You may want to know how supervised contact works, where sessions can take place, what happens during a session and how arrangements are agreed. Our frequently asked questions provide helpful information about our services, referral process, fees, confidentiality and safeguarding procedures. If you cannot find the answer you need, please contact us directly.
What is supervised contact?
Contact that is closely monitored to ensure positive interactions between the child and the non-resident parent. A report is included.
What is supported contact?
A supervisor is present to help the visit go well rather than observing every interaction.
When is virtual contact used?
Supervised virtual contact is advised where there may be a risk of harm. Supported virtual contact is often used when communication between parents has broken down.
What is the handover service?
A supervisor helps separated parents exchange the child safely, with minimal conflict.
When do you operate?
We currently operate at weekends, 8am to 6pm.
Who can make a referral?
Professionals and local authorities (Professional / LA Referral) and parents or family members (Private Family Referral).
